Relevant Experience
Over 25 years teaching and administrative experience in secondary and post secondary education in Ontario, Alberta and B.C. including two years in an International IB School in Manila, Philippines as Chaplain, Department Chair, K to 12, and Senior Administrator. I was, between 2001 and 2015, associate faculty member at Royal Roads University (RRU), School of Leadership Studies, including providing supervision of over 15 major research projects.
11 years from 1978-1989 in the training and development industry marketing, facilitating, designing and delivering programs in the private and public sectors. From 1986-1989 employed as Western Regional Director for the North American education practice of DMR Group Ltd., an international consulting company, working with clients and consultants and managing major projects across Canada and the western USA. Clients have included Finning Tractor, Suncor, BP Oil and Gas, Syncrude, Canada Post, Great West Life, MacMillan Bloedel, B.C. Government Ministries and Crown Corporations. More recent clients include Triumph Timber, the R.C.M.P,. Translink, and the Federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
Served for 10 years as an active ordained Anglican Priest, Diocese of New Westminster, specializing in parish ministry consulting projects, volunteer leadership support and chairing strategic leadership committees. 1990-2000. In my role as Chair of the Diocesan Strategy Committee, I implemented the first ever diocesan wide (over 80 parishes) consultation in preparation for the election of the then current Bishop.
Two years as Executive Officer of the Brent School in Manila, the Philippines, an international school of 850 students from 27 different cultural and language groups, and 90 faculty and staff members. As a member of the Executive Committee and Chair of a school-wide department, I played a critical role in establishing and implementing direction and policy for this complex organization. On leaving this position to return to Canada the Headmaster expressed his gratitude for the significant contribution I had made in only two years.
Founding partner of MayneStay Consulting Group Ltd., bringing my skills to the company as a Certified Management Consultant, (CAMC), and from the International Coach Federation (ICF) the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) designation with over 3000 hours of coaching experience including managerial and senior executive coaching. I have been told that my "wise experience" over many years in a variety of private and public sector organizations has given me a depth of understanding and comfort with organizational complexity and individual challenge.
